This Pumpkin Festival is Killer

Killer Pumpkin Fest returns to Portland, Ore. October 29

We’ve got 2,974 lbs of pumpkins ready to be smashed.

That means it’s time for Killer Pumpkin Festival at the Green Dragon Bistro & Pub in Portland, Oregon.

For the sixth year running, Rogue Ales & Spirits and Brewpublic have joined forces to host this festival.

It began in 2011 as part of Brewpublic’s Killer Beer Week and this year, over 40 pumpkin beers from over 30 breweries will be on tap. Not to mention the pumpkin cocktails and pumpkin dishes we’ll be serving.

But possibly the biggest reason to come to Killer Pumpkin Fest is to smash a pumpkin with a sledge hammer.

Have a beer, nibble on some pumpkin then step right up to crush a pumpkin to pieces at our pumpkin smashing station that we’ll have set up on 9th Avenue in front of the pub.

You can also bowl with the pumpkins or just go the traditional route and decorate them.

The event benefits CAMP UKANDU, a camp for children living with cancer. There’s a $5 suggested donation at the door. Doors open at 11am on October 29 and kids are welcome until 9pm. And we’ll be serving up pumpkins all night long.
