Sriracha Week At Rogue Spirits, A Spicy Manhattan

Today, we wrap up Sriracha Week with a true DIY Cocktail, the Spicy Manhattan.

The recipe calls for Rogue Spirits Dead Guy Whiskey, or Oregon Rye Whiskey, along with a Rogue Ales Sriracha Hot Stout syrup you’ll have to make on your own (directions below). Don’t worry, it’s easier than you think.

DIRECTIONS FOR SYRUP

Start with 8 ounces of Rogue Sriracha Hot Stout and 1/2 cup of sugar. Put ingredients into a small saucepan and bring to a low boil, stirring gently. Reduce heat to low and allow to reduce by half, generally about 30 minutes. Remove from heat.

You’re almost done.

DIRECTIONS FOR THE SPICY MANHATTAN

Fill a cocktail shake with ice. Pour all the ingredients into the shaker and shake. (Or stir if you’re one of those kind of people.) Strain the mixture into a a glass and enjoy.
