A Tail Of Two Harvests

The harvest season at Rogue Farms is coming to a close. The hazelnuts are falling in our neighbor’s orchard and the last our Dream pumpkins are coming off the patch.


And as we load up the baskets with nuts and pumpkins, one of those proverbial “light bulbs” goes off. Hazelnuts? Pumpkins? What a great idea for a drink! Right there on the spot we created the Rogue Pumpkin Spice Cocktail, made with our Pumpkin Spice Soda and Hazelnut Spice Rum.

The hazelnut harvest at Kirk Family Filberts, our next door neighbors on Wigrich Road. We oven roast the Kirk’s nuts at the Rogue Distillery in Newport to craft our Hazelnut Spice Rum.

It’s our tribute to the harvest and the flavors of fall, inspired by the ingredients we grow at Rogue Farms and by our friends and neighbors.

PUMPKIN SPICE COCKTAIL

*Ingredients:
1.5 oz Hazelnut Spice Rum
.5 oz Allspice liqueur
3 oz Pumpkin Spice Soda

Preparation:*
Add the Hazelnut Spice Rum and allspice liqueur to a Farms Mug filled with ice. Top with Pumpkin Spice Soda and an orange peel.
