Rogue Chipotle Ale: Smoke ’Em If You Grow ‘Em

Rogue Ales & Spirits will celebrate this Cinco de Mayo with Rogue Farms CHIPOTLE ALE — a World-Class creation crafted entirely from ingredients grown on Rogue’s proprietary farms in Oregon.


In addition to hops, barley, pumpkins, rye, corn, wheat and honey, Rogue grows five acres of jalapeño peppers on their farm in Oregon’s renowned Willamette Valley. When the jalapenos reach a deep red color and become fully ripe, they are hand-picked, immediately driven to the Rogue Brewery in Newport, Oregon and smoked in small batches to create chipotle peppers.

To create CHIPOTLE ALE, Rogue Brewmaster John Maier hand selects and adds the chipotle peppers to the brew kettle to impart the characteristically smokey and spicy flavors.
