An Update From Rogue President, Brett Joyce

It is with a heavy heart that I must announce our lease at the Rogue Pub in San Francisco’s North Beach neighborhood was terminated earlier this week. As many of you know, on March 17th a 4-Alarm fire tore through our building and destroyed our pub, the building, and other adjacent businesses. Fortunately, no one was hurt thanks to the quick actions of our staff. We have remained hopeful that we could re-open the pub but, due to the extensive damage and uncertainty surrounding the extent of rebuilding, our landlord has decided to terminate our lease and focus on the construction project that lies ahead.

We created many fond memories during our 15+ years in San Francisco and we will miss the pub dearly. We truly enjoyed the pints shared with our Rogue Nation Citizens, neighbors, and friends. Our Brewmaster of 29 years, John Maier, proposed to his wife, Stacey, on the Golden Gate Bridge before celebrating their engagement at our North Beach outpost.

We remain hopeful that we can find another location in San Francisco and continue to share our ales and spirits with our loyal Bay Area fans.

Thanks to everyone for the amazing outpouring of support during this difficult time.

Dare, Risk and Dream,

Brett Joyce
