We're starting 2019 off on a high note: Yellow Snow Pilsner has earned us our 2,000th award for World Class beer & spirits.
The pilsner, which is brewed with Oregon spruce tips, was named the Best in the Northwest in the Spice/Herb Beer category by the United States Beer Tasting Championship (USBTC). We learned about this latest award on January 1, 2019 -- and we feel like it's a great sign for the year to come.
In 2018, we earned 88 awards, including a gold medal at the 2018 Great American Beer Festival, considered the foremost beer event in the country. It seems fitting that we'd earn 88 medals in our 30th year -- a nod to the year we were founded: 1988.
Yellow Snow Pilsner returned for its second season in 2018 as well. The seasonal brew came back in November and will be available through next month. Now that it's earned this honor, it will go on to the national competition and the USBTC will announce those winners next month.
