In fact, Stephen Beaumont's Beer Bits on page 24 of the Winter 2003 issue of LCBO's magazine Food and Wine, sums it up nicely: "As Canadians are exposed to an increasingly diverse assortment of beers from around the globe, ideas that once shocked, such as the concept of serving beers with chocolate, are now more generally accepted. Trust our American neighbours, then, to push the limits a little further. Rogue Chocolate Stout is a robust, sweetish and silken stout that ventures one step beyond partnering beer with chocolate by actually brewing with the stuff. The resulting beer is (unsurprisingly) chocolatey in taste and an ideal choice for Valentine's Day." Chocolate Stout is available at select retailers in the lower-48, but only for a limited time, so get it while you can! During February Rogue's Flanders Street Public House in Portland is serving Chocolate Stout or HazelNut Brown ice cream floats. Roguehero is unaffiliated with Oregon Brewing Company, dba Rogue Ales, much like the Rogue pub in North Plains, Oregon. If your travels take you to Bellingham, visit RogueHero at 1313 North State Street. Rogue fans in the Bay State that don't know, should know about Julio's Liquors on Route 9 in Westboro, MA.
