MEET THE DISTILLER

John Couchot

From chemistry to brewing and finally to inspired alchemy, John Couchot has over 30 years of experience turning solids to liquids, and is the distiller at Rogue's House of Spirits in Newport, Oregon where he operates a 150 gallon copper compound pot still.

John is married with 3 children, is a member in good standing of the Rogue Nation and lives in Newport, Oregon not more than 5 minutes from the copper creature.

John received a bachelors degree in chemistry in 1996 from the Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington, which he utilized as a professional chemist for 6 years, working to isolate the active ingredients from Amazonian plants that were found to have curative properties.

In 2006, John came to work for Rogue and now creates award winning Rogue Spirits.
