Six Times Best

November 27, 2013

NEWPORT, OR – Rogue was awarded ‘World’s Best’ twice at the World Beer Awards with Rogue Farms Single Malt Ale named World’s Best Golden Pale Ale and Rogue Shakespeare Stout named World’s Best Oatmeal Stout. Also awarded as ‘America’s Best’ in their respective categories were Captain Sig’s Northwestern Ale, St. Rogue Dry Hopped Red, Morimoto Imperial Pilsner and Hazelnut Brown Nectar.

The World Beer Awards honor the very best beers from internationally recognized beer styles. The finalists are selected from regional competitions representing the best beers from Europe, Asia and the Americas. All beers were blind tasted and judged on a strictly enforced marking system. As well as aroma, flavor, appearance/condition, mouth-feel and finish the judges looked for beer with balance, character, complexity and quality.

Rogue is dedicated to saving the terroir of Oregon hops, barley, honey, pumpkins, jalapeños, bees and rye one acre at a time by growing our own. The Rogue GYO 200 acre Micro Barley Farm is located in Oregon’s Tygh Valley Appellation and Rogue’s 42 acre micro Hopyard is located in Oregon’s Wigrich Appellation. All Rogue products are made using ingredients grown on our two farms. From ground to glass, you can taste the difference.
