NEWPORT, OR –  As Halloween quickly approaches, and you reach for the steady light of a Dead Guy Glow, you may wonder “how did Dead Guy Ale come to be?” Today, we shine a light on some of the hallowed history of Dead Guy Ale.

 

Dead Guy first appeared as an ale to celebrate the Day of the Dead at Casa U Betcha in Portland, Oregon. That beer was labeled as “La Ceveza Que Es Buena Y Buena Para Usted” which translates as “The Beer that is good and good for you”.

 

As the years have grown, Dead Guy has appeared in several bottled versions including Psychedelic Dead Guy where several colors of ink were blended in the background so no two bottles were alike, a ceramic 750 ml bottle with a swing top to celebrate XS Double Dead Guy and Dead Guy Glow featuring Glow-in-the-dark ink, just in time for Halloween, every year since 1996.
