INDEPENDENCE, OR –When KOIN-TV of Portland, Oregon wanted to learn about the hop harvest, they came to Rogue Farms in Independence, Oregon.
With the big wave hop harvest in full swing, Rogue Farms showed how we grow, pick, strip, sort, separate, kiln, cool and bale the seven varieties of Rogue Farms GYO hops.
Collaborating with Mother Nature to grow a proprietary palate of ingredients for Brewmaster John Maier always keeps us on our toes. Rogue Farms made it through the flood season in Independence, through the frosts in Tygh Valley and are now in the midst what we hope will be one of our most bountiful harvests in Rogue Farms history.
This summer, Rogue Farms is also harvesting two varieties of malting barley, six varieties of fruit, wheat, corn, jalapeños and honey from our 7,140,289 honeybees. Please visit us at Rogue Farms for the harvest season and see for yourself how we grow beers and spirits!
