Principles of the Revolution | Rogue's of the Decade The Revolution for Brewing Independence Years ago there were hundreds of small breweries dotting the landscape of the United States. It was a time when distribution was limited to only as far as a horse and buggy could travel in a day. With the advent of refridgerated trucks and preservatives, came the mass market national behemoth breweries we know today. Briging to the marketplace a bland, chemically created product they pass off as beer. Then in the mid 80's there was a resurgence in popularity and a demand for the handcrafted, quality products that our forefathers had enjoyed years ago. Small Micro Breweries could be seen again in many cities, offering consumers the variety and quality that had been missing in their lives. Then the big guys wanted a piece of that pie as well and they bought out or used their distribution muscle to squash the little guys. Rogue has been a survivor in this battle and in fact has prospered. By not sacrificing quality for price, ingredients for water and by having a strong moral conscience that means doing the right thing and telling the truth, at all costs. This is the Revolution, and we are the underdog. Rogue is David, standing up to the big guy who is trying to bully his way into whatever business or territory he wants, and the soldiers in this Revolution are people like ourselves who demand and are willing to fight to preserve their quality of life. There are no weapons in this battle only voices and if enough of us speak together, we will be heard... |
