Principles of the Revolution

1. Rogue is a small revolution which expresses itself through hand-crafted beers and the way we conduct our business.
2. The spirit of the Rogue brand, even the name, suggests doing things differently, a desire and a willingness to change the status quo. The Rogue brand is part revolutionist and part entrepreneur.
3. We express ourself, our values, and our beliefs through our actions and in the products we make. A Rogue beer is crafted to give it unique character, innovative in its makeup and brewing, a beer that has uncompromised quality. Rogue beers are different from the norm; they are products that have a standard about them that makes them not for everyone. If a beer is not all these things, then it shouldn’t be made at all.
4. Rogue’s business will never get "big" as "big" is defined by the brewing industry, but that does not limit Rogue’s potential for success.
5. The great passion people have for the brand and the product will see to it that the product finds the consumer or the consumer finds the product.
6. We do what we do to become a meaningful industry leader through the products and programs we create, and by building an entrepreneurial organization that is successful without being big, bureaucratic, or common.
7. Rogue will stand up to the big guy trying to bully his way into whatever business or territory he wants. Rogue will be David, only this David doesn’t really care if the stone hits the giant or not. Just the idea of throwing the stone is exciting. The rest of the industry watches to see what happens next, then they will follow. To be a leader doesn’t mean you have to be the biggest. The best leaders lead by example and by doing things the right way, even if it means going against the grain.
8. Rogue will not get big. There is nothing about being big that will help Rogue get to where it wants to go. Rogue wants to have profit. Profit will allow Rogue to really do what it wants to do and to say what it wants to say. Rogue gives us all a chance to go back.
9. We make products for the beer connoisseur, the entrepreneur, and the revolutionist.
10. Our dream is through product, marketing, and successful business philosophies to have the Rogue brand grow to become a successful symbol for entrepreneurs and revolutionists all over the world.
